Our Story
Founded in Reykjavík in 2021, Anton & Company grew out of demand for rigorous work at the intersection of electric power infrastructure, complex data, and strategic decision-making. The firm quickly took shape around what clients valued most: independent judgment, dependable capability, and flexible support that strengthens internal teams where and when it is needed.
Today, our Reykjavík office supports clients across Europe, while our Calgary office serves the Americas. Both combine local presence with international experience and a flexible model for complex technical, commercial, and strategic work.

Led by Experience
Anton & Company is led by Laurentiu Anton, a physicist turned engineer with a unique blend of industrial and academic experience. With over a decade of experience spanning Canada, Iceland, and the United States, Laurentiu has supported energy authorities, utilities, and asset owners in making rigorous, actionable decisions—especially where decarbonization, electrification, infrastructure planning, and data modeling intersect.
He holds an PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, an MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Reykjavik University, and a BSc in Honors Mathematical Physics from the University of Waterloo.

Anton & Company is a lean consultancy practice, working closely with a network of trusted domain experts—ranging from grid modelers and GIS specialists to data scientists and software developers—brought in as needed for each engagement. This allows us to offer clients deep technical insight and scalable delivery, without unnecessary overhead.
All projects are led directly by Laurentiu, ensuring technical consistency, clear communication, and a hands-on approach from kickoff to delivery.

We’ve supported owners, developers, and asset managers of renewable energy assets, developed grid modeling tools for utilities, helped energy authorities forecast EV charging impacts, and supported universities and government bodies in advancing clean infrastructure projects. Our clients include a variety of industrial, academic and technical partners in Europe and North America.
Over the past two years, Laurentiu has been an indispensable partner in Veitur’s modelling and data science journey. He blends deep power systems expertise with modern data science practice, turning ambitious ideas into production-ready tools, most notably the Smart Meter Viewer, which finally put low voltage load data into the hands of every employee in an intuitive way, and the python pipelines that let us pull GIS-based utility network topology models and tabular data with a single call. His thorough technical due diligence on power system analysis software gave us the confidence to proceed with procurement. Just as valuable, he has a real talent for mentorship: the onboarding workshops and tutorial notebooks he authored are widely used resources for our new hires and seasoned employees alike.
